Use of the site

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with the security, operation, or availability of the site. We may refuse service, cancel orders, or restrict access where misuse, fraud, policy abuse, or unlawful activity is suspected.

Product information

We aim to describe our products accurately, but errors in pricing, availability, descriptions, images, or technical information may occur. We may correct errors, update information, or cancel an order affected by an error.

Safety-critical product notice

Aegis Home Safe products are supplemental home safety monitoring devices. They are not a substitute for smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, gas alarms, required alarms under building or fire codes, professional inspection, appliance maintenance, utility service, emergency services, or any safety equipment required by law.

No detector can guarantee detection of every hazardous condition in every circumstance. Detection may be affected by placement, blocked airflow, power interruption, sensor age, environmental conditions, improper installation, lack of testing, misuse, damage, or use outside the product instructions.

Emergency response

If an alarm sounds, if you smell gas, if you suspect carbon monoxide or a gas leak, or if anyone experiences symptoms that could be related to carbon monoxide or gas exposure, leave the area immediately and contact emergency services or the appropriate utility. Do not rely on this website, customer support, or warranty service for emergency advice.

Installation, testing, and maintenance

You are responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and using the product strictly according to the product instructions and all applicable laws, codes, and safety requirements. Failure to follow instructions, using the product in an unsuitable location, modifying the product, physically damaging the product, blocking vents or sensors, using the product after any stated end-of-life or service-life period, or continuing to use a product after a suspected malfunction may void warranty coverage and may limit available remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Orders, payment, and acceptance

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. We may cancel or limit an order for reasons including suspected fraud, inventory issues, pricing errors, payment failure, or shipping restrictions. Payment is processed through Shopify and available payment providers.

Shipping, returns, and warranty support

Shipping, returns, refunds, and warranty support are governed by our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms. Warranty support is intended to address eligible defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use and does not cover misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modification, physical damage, commercial or industrial use, events outside our control, or use outside the product instructions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aegis Home Safe will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of use, substitute services, or temporary housing costs, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aegis Home Safe's total liability arising out of or relating to your purchase, use, or inability to use a product will not exceed the purchase price paid for the specific product unit giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death, personal injury, or legally non-waivable product liability claims.

Consumer rights

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions or limitations of certain damages, so some of the limitations above may not apply to you. These Terms do not limit any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

Intellectual property

All site content, branding, images, text, layouts, and product materials are owned by or licensed to Aegis Home Safe and may not be copied, modified, distributed, or used commercially without permission.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable United States law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
